Sometimes it is the little things that I hate — the easy things that just take up all your precious time — like scrubbing a bunch of potatoes.

Did you know that you can make that job just a little more bearable?

You can go about making your meal, cleaning your house, or watching that episode of Bridgerton, and not even worry about pre-cleaning those potatoes that you laid out for making for dinner.

How?? The solution is easier than you might think.

Thanks to Laura, over at Heavenly Homemakers, we found this efficient hack that will save your pruney fingers and spare you any wasted time.

You simply empty everything out of your dishwasher.

Place the potatoes on the TOP RACK of your dishwasher — just leave your bottom rack empty.

DO NOT PUT SOAP IN WITH THE POTATOES.

Close up that washer, and set it for a rinse cycle only.

In the exact same way that the dishwasher cleans those bits of food off your plates and bowls, the dishwasher will do all the hard work, and get the dirt off your potatoes.

Don’t believe me? Just try it!!

Now, if I could only get the dishwasher to PEEL the potatoes, I’d be set.
