Budweiser Is Skipping Out On The Super Bowl For The First Time In 37 Years
Budweiser is lending out a helping hand this month.
Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for making it to the 55th Super Bowl!
For my football fans, this is the second consecutive year quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be playing for the Lombardi Trophy and for Tom Brady well, let’s just say he’s not a newbie.
But what does Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, and the Super Bowl have anything to do with Budweiser?
Well, if you enjoy Super Bowl commercials (and who doesn’t) but aren’t exactly a football fan, don’t count on seeing your favorite beer up on the flat screen.
Budweiser has officially decided to pull back on their advertisements during Super Bowl Sunday and will instead, donate the money they would have spent on ads to Coronavirus vaccination awareness efforts.
Budweiser confirmed the news via Twitter with an emotional video and the song “Lean on Me” playing softly in the background.
For the first time in 37 years, Budweiser is opting out of the big game.
With that being said, you can still expect to see brands such as Bud Light, Bud Light Seltzer Lemonade, Michelob Ultra, and Michelob Ultra Organic Seltzer during commercial breaks.
Although, Budweiser isn’t the only beverage opting out of advertisements during the Super Bowl this year.
Companies including Pepsi, Coke, Avocados from Mexico, etc. will also be sitting on the sidelines this year.
However, you can still expect to see Pringles, M&M’s and other major name brands showing off their creative Super Bowl ads!
