Here’s Why People Everywhere Are Putting Salt In Their Coffee
There are about 11,000 ways to spruce up your morning coffee.
Some people add creamer, some use sugar, some use butter, some people even use honey — this was a new one for me.
But, have you ever thought about adding salt to the mix?
I know, it sounds pretty — uh, I guess, salty — but just hear me out.
It’s not a new concept, but it recently resurfaced on Twitter as a yummy hack to make your morning cup of joe taste even better.
I’m not talking about adding an entire tablespoon of salt to your coffee.
All you need to do is add a pinch of salt to your morning brew, stir it, and give it a taste.
It shouldn’t taste salty at all, but you will notice that the bitterness of the coffee has become much more mild.
There’s almost no need to add creamer or sweetener — but if that’s your thing, you can TOTALLY still do it.
The salt is just going to mellow out that acidic kick that you are used to with your coffee.
It is important to note that the salt should be added to your coffee in moderation.
If you have a condition that requires you to monitor your salt, this trick may not be something you want to try.
What do you think? Are you going to try the salt trick to make your coffee less bitter?
