The day has finally come where Will Smith has issued a very public apology to Chris Rock…

Nearly 4 months after the viral incident involving Will Smith slapping Chris Rock during The Oscars, Will Smith has posted a public video apologizing to Chris Rock.

It was truly an insane moment and people all over couldn’t believe it actually happened.

Until now, Will Smith has been quiet about the incident but now, it looks like Will Smith has had some time to think on the situation and reflect on his poorly made decision.

The YouTube video is titled “It’s Been A Minute”…

It starts out with a caption on the screen that reads:

“It’s been a minute… Over the last few months, I’ve been doing a lot of think and personal work… You asked a lot of fair questions that I wanted to take some time to answer.”

Will Smith then walks onto camera and sits down.

He immediately beings reading questions the first one being:

Why didn’t you apologize to Chris in your acceptance speech?

That is when Will Smith begins to answer…

He explains that he basically was fuzzy at that point and even explains that he has since reached out to Chris Rock…

“I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk, and when he is he will reach out,” Will said. “So I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable, and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.”

I am glad this is finally happening and I hope Will Smith can learn and grow from this experience.
