Around my house, we LOVE Italian food–but we need quick meals most nights.

And one of my favorite go-to is this 10-Minute Spaghetti Sauce Recipe! It is super easy to make!

This is literally the easiest meal I make in the evenings–if I’ve forgotten to put something in the slow cooker earlier!

I’ll be the first to admit that I am a bit of a snob when it comes to spaghetti sauce.

I like it homemade.

Only because I’ve found that lots of canned spaghetti sauces are SOUR and I don’t like sour spaghetti sauce.

So, I opt to make mine homemade every time.

That’s why I love this recipe.

It’s super easy to make, requires 10 minutes of your time and it is all homemade with fresh ingredients.

Did I mention it’s tasty too?

  • Put your deepest pan or your favorite pot on medium heat on the stove.
  • Place the olive oil, onion and garlic in the pan and allow it to warm, stirring occasionally.
  • While olive oil, onion and garlic are warming, open all the cans and pour off any extra juice from the mushrooms and meat.
  • Pour all of the cans’ contents into the pan/pot and stir together well.
  • Add basil, oregano and red wine into the pan and stir well.
  • Add the pinch of sugar, salt and stir again. If it’s your thing, add the Parmesan cheese and black olives.

You can totally use fresh ground beef or chicken for this recipe, it may just require a few additional minutes to cook throughly.

Other things you can add: Italian sausage, carrots, and even red pepper flakes for an added kick!
