Dear parents, Halloween isn’t cancelled.

Please stop telling your kids that Halloween is cancelled because it’s not. It’s just different.

This year, nothing has been or will be the same and who knows when things will go back to “normal”.

The reality is, they may never go back to the old way of doing things but just because it’s the way we’ve always done things – like Halloween, doesn’t mean it has to be that way forever…

Why not make new holiday traditions? Isn’t that what making a tradition is all about anyways?

October 31st is still Halloween and the way I see it is, we can sit around dwelling on the fact we can’t throw lavish Halloween parties or trick-or-treat around the neighborhood OR we can get creative.

Where all my Pinterest moms at?! Um, hello!! This is OUR time to shine ladies. (Pinterest dads you are included in this too).

Let’s take Halloween this year and make it the best we can!

No trick-or-treating? How about a Halloween egg hunt?

Oriental Trading

No Halloween parties? How about making a viral TikTok or Facebook Halloween Dance party challenge?

Get kids their costumes. Let them wear them around the house all month long. Hell, let them sleep in the dang things!

Stuff a piñata with candy and give each kid one and let them smash that thing to hell and let out their frustrations.

We can do this.

We can be creative and we can make Halloween 2020 one to remember.

Again, Halloween isn’t cancelled, it’s just different and it’s time we get creative for our kids’ sake. So, who’s with me?!
