Disney World Is Requiring Guests To Wear Face Masks And People Are Losing Their Minds

Let me preface this by saying, I am Team Mask. If you aren’t wearing a mask, you are part of the problem.

I am also team Disney. I applaud them for having the safety measures in place that they do. I UNDERSTAND that these measures are to protect myself, and all the other guests on property.

That being said, there are some people that don’t agree with the fact that Disney is going to require masks in the park.

Appropriate Face Coverings: All guests 3 years of age and older, along with cast members and third-party operating-participant employees, will be required to wear an appropriate face covering while visiting Disney Springs. This is an important part of protecting both our guests and our cast. Please be sure you have an ample amount of face coverings for yourself and your party before you arrive, as you’ll need to wear them over your nose and mouth at all times (except when sitting at a dining table).

Look, you’re lucky they are opening up at all. You may not think it’s “Magical” to wear a mask, but it also isn’t cool if you give me the corona.

I will GLADLY sport a mask in the parks, at the resorts, and while on property.

In fact, I wasn’t planning a trip down there, because let’s face it, it’s hella expensive. BUT, now I want to go just to support the fact that they are being so forward thinking in their attempts to keep the human race as safe as possible.

Maybe you agree, maybe you don’t. I don’t really care. If you want to cancel your Annual Pass, because you are going to have to be considerate, and keep the population around you safe, just go ahead and give ME your annual pass.

Don’t be ignorant. Just because you are wearing a mask, doesn’t mean you are “scared.” It means you are being considerate of others. You are helping to protect the immune suppressed, you are helping keep the elderly from getting this virus, and you are helping children be safe. AND, maybe in the process, you will stay well too.

DON’T give Disney grief for protecting guests. If you don’t like it, stay away. It isn’t ESSENTIAL that you go the Disney World, it’s a choice.

You also choose your attitude in all of this. You can either choose to be an inconsiderate jerk, or you can choose to just follow the dang rules, and wait this thing out.

Good gosh, these rules aren’t FOREVER, they are just for now.

Now, I’ll step down from my soapbox. What do you think of all this?
