Homemade Crockpot Caramel Sauce
I am a sucker for anything Carmel. I mean, can you blame me? It’s delicious! So with Fall nearing, I had to whip up some of my own Caramel so I could enjoy some caramel covered chocolates and apples far before anyone else. I ran to my grandma’s house, found her recipe book and whipped up this Homemade Crockpot Caramel Sauce. It’s ooey, gooey, and everything that is delicious about caramel. What You Will Need to Make Crockpot Caramel Sauce:
- 1 Cup White Sugar
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Light Corn Syrup
- 1/4 Cup Butter (do not use margarine)
- 1 Tablespoon Water
- 1/2 Heavy Cream
- Crockpot (I used my Ninja Cooking System)
How to Make Crockpot Caramel Sauce:
- Combine all the ingredients into your crockpot and turn on medium heat. (If you are using your Ninja cooking system you can place them all into your multi-purpose pan).
- Stir the ingredients constantly until they begin to boil then remove from heat.
- Stir in the heavy cream. Continue stirring 2-3 minutes until the cream is fully incorporated.
- Allow to reach room temperature. You may want to stir a bit more to ensure all ingredients are mixed well.
- Pour caramel into a canning jar or container. You can serve immediately with some freshly cut apple slices or store in an airtight container in the fridge for future use. When ready to use, simply place into the microwave for 30 seconds and stir.
- The sauce is good for about 1 week refrigerated.
