We’re not kidding when we say that Jared Leto, was most recently filmed scaling the Empire State building, and the big question everyone is asking is, “why”?

To promote a new tour with 30 Seconds To Mars, Jared completed a long-time goal of his.

While you may find that most people may comment that their long-time goal is running a 26 mile marathon or learning a new language, Jared’s was certainly one you don’t hear often.

After speaking to the Today Show in a recent interview, Jared recently explained his experience while climbing the 6th tallest building in the United States.

“I was more excited than nervous to tell you the truth. But I have to be honest, it was very, very hard. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Just the endurance that it took, the stamina that it took, and it was very sharp,” explained Jared Leto.

He also added,

“It’s incredible. To watch the sun rise overlooking the city that’s meant so much to me. Ever since I was a kid, New York stood for the place that you went to make your dreams come true. And as a young kid, I wanted to be an artist, and New York was the place that you came to be an artist. And the Empire State Building was always that symbol for me,” said Jared Leto in an interview with the Today Show.
