‘I Can See Clearly Now’ is such a classic song that everyone knows the words to. It came out in 1972 and even my children know the words to it. “I Can See Clearly Now” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 4, 1972!

He passed away today at age 80 from natural causes in his own home in Houston Texas. Johnny Nash led quite a long fullfilled life!

He began his career back in the 1950s when he was only 17 years old. Then in the 1960’s, he partnered up with Danny Sims to form JAD Records. They were the ones to sign Bob Marley! Johnny was an American reggae and Pop music singer and songwriter.

Johnny loved reggae. And he loved Bob and the guys. He taught Bob how to sing on the mic, and they taught Johnny how to play the reggae rhythm.

Danny Sims told the Houston Chronicle in 2012.

Today has definitely been a sad one in the music community, this coming right after we hear of Eddie Van Halen passing from cancer at age 65. I’m going to go listen to some good music from these great musicians for a bit!
