That is soooooo far off! But I get it! Universal has changed the release date for Jurassic World: Dominion from June 11th, 2021, all the way to June 10th, 2022.

The move is a smart one by Universal, because honestly… when was the last time most of us were able to go see a movie? Everything is being pushed and to give this the attention it deserves, they will be pushing this one out even farther.

According to Deadline, this doesn’t have anything to do with production. They said the movie is only about 3 weeks out from wrapping up and has remained pretty much on course.

The Jurassic Park franchise has grossed over $5 billion worldwide and this is a safeguarding move. They don’t want to run into any trouble with the release so playing it safe is what they chose.

The release isn’t just about the movie, it also affects the theme parks, live events, and other things that NBCUniversal has planned. This includes retail and media as well.

It’s a long wait, but I know it will be a fantastic movie. The new poster was released today on social media. This new poster also confirms that Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern will be there too!
