A New Disney Community Is Coming — And It’s Not Going To Be In Florida Or California
Is it too soon to pack up my house and move?!?
Disney is planning on opening a new community, that will “cater to those looking to write [the] next chapter of their lives with Disney.”
And it’s not in Florida or California…
Count me there!!
This little project will be created by Storyliving By Disney, and will be the first Disney community outside of where you might expect a Disney living experience — California or Florida.
Seriously. I want to be there. I want to be there, now.
The first Disney community, Celebration, was established in Florida, just down the street from Disney World.
Then, in 2022, a Storyliving community was started in 2022 — Cotino — which is situated in Rancho Mirage, California — just outside of Coachella Valley, where Walt Disney once owned his own home.
I bet that’s nice and affordable, right?!?
The announcement of the Asteria community builds upon strong initial interest for our first Storyliving by Disney community in California and will expand Disney-branded communities to the East Coast.

This Storyliving community — known as Asteria — is being planned alongside Disney Imagineers, so you know it’s going to be full of Disney magic — the kind that Walt Disney, himself, would be proud of.
Now, this Asteria community hasn’t yet been built, but you can guarantee it’s coming — ready for those lucky enough to be able to afford it — available for purchase beginning in 2027.
Y’all. They are planning a wellness and recreation center, a restaurant, some sport courts, a couple of swimming pools, a community garden, an outdoor space for lawn games, space for events, and even fire pits, all situated on 1,500 acres in the heart of Chatham County, North Carolina.
There will be 4,000 units available for purchase starting in the upper $1 million range.
I need a second job, pronto.
The good news is that they will have both single-family, and multi-family homes — so my entire family needs to plan on living together under one roof. LOL!!
