They left us on quite a cliffhanger this first season: does Devi choose Ben or Paxton. (Which team are you on??)

Turns out, we will get to find out who Devi chooses, because Netflix has officially picked up Never Have I Ever for a second season! Yay!!

The show is co-created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher, and loosely based on Mindy’s life growing up.

Never Have I Ever centers around high school sophomore, Devi Vishwakumar, who is trying to navigate the rollercoaster that is high school (we’ve all been there, right?!?).

Her experience might be a bit different than yours, because she is a Hindu-Indian teenager trying to fit in amongst high school students that are already judgey and, let’s face it, sometimes mean.

Don’t worry, it’s not all about the sucky mean students. This is a comedy that is sure to bring loud bursts of laughter and snorts.

The show has been praised for being so diverse, and showing the highs and lows of traversing adolescence as an Indian-American in a society that is often mostly caucasian.

A lot of people of color and the South Asian community [are] so used to being sidekicks, we’re so used to being comedic relief.”

Now, like everything else on the planet, production on the show has been halted because of the coronavirus. BUT, the GOOD news is, the show is coming back. The bad news, of course, is that we have no idea WHEN it is coming back.
