I don’t remember Bingo Cards being passed out on New Year’s Day, but SOMEONE just got 2020 Bingo, and it’s only JUNE.

Australian Bushfires, the Coronavirus Pandemic, Kobe Bryant’s Helicopter Tragedy, Murder Hornets, the year of the locusts, now — a Saharan Dust Cloud is set to invade the United States. BINGO!!

But, although I immediately get visions of the Dust Bowl we learned about in History 101, meteorologists are saying that there are going to be some positive effect of the Dust Cloud.

Sure, we are going to get a bit of dust — more in South America and the Gulf Coast — but it could be WAY worse. (Knock on wood)

Right now, it is expected that the cloud of dust will block the heat, which usually instigates tropical storms in the Atlantic. This could make for a mild hurricane season — which would be a RELIEF after the year we have already had.

Also, the fine dust particles floating in the air, due to the giant dust cloud, are going to make some beautiful sunsets and sunrises, so break out that camera!! You’re likely going to get a few Instagram worthy nature photos out of this once-in-a-lifetime cloud of dust.

So, if you are wearing that face mask — like you should already be doing — you are already ahead of the game for this cloud of dust.

You may have to wash your car, and you may get a few awesome pictures of the sunset, but everything should be fine.

Out of all the things that have happened so far in 2020, this should be a bit on the mild side of things. (Again, knock on wood!)
