Nurses, doctors, and other first responders have been CRUCIAL during this time. In light of everything they have to go through, the LEAST we can do is buy them a cup of coffee.

That is EXACTLY what Starbucks is doing!

Now, through May 3rd, anyone who goes into a Starbucks and lets the baristas know they are a first responder, will get a FREE tall drip coffee.

Those who are eligible include police officers, firefighters, paramedics, doctors, nurses, hospital and medical staff and medical researchers.

This isn’t the first time Starbucks has been generous with their coffee distribution. When I worked for them, YEARS ago, we would always help out with free coffee and waters when there was an emergency.

According to reports, Starbucks is also donating $500,000 to organizations that are providing medical relief in the form of care packages to first responders, including the much needed PPE equipment.

Now, there ARE some Starbucks locations that have had to close their doors. Before you send your favorite doctor or nurse over to Starbucks for their free coffee, make sure your local coffee shop is open.

Speaking of Starbucks, did you know that stores are going to open for Easter? Of course, at this point, it is just the drive thru, but I’ll take it!

  1. This is great. Absolutely wonderful. It would be great if they included Child care employees since they are staying open and continuing to work to help the first responders. Those in retail deserve this as well. They are all on the front lines.
Now, I truly believe the EMT’s, police/fire, hospital workers, etc. are running the front lines of this Corvus-19 nightmare. But, it would be nice if this could be extended to ALL the people asked to continue working and putting themselves out there as well.
