Starbucks Is Finally Responding After A Couple Was Charged Over $4,000 For A Tip And It’s About Time
ICYMI, there was a couple who went to Starbucks in Tulsa last week, and ordered 2 cups of coffee.
As most of us do these days, they used a credit card to pay for their beverages of choice.
Now, I’m not sure exactly what type of coffees they ordered — could have been black coffee, could have been Frappuccinos, or it could have been something over ice.
It really doesn’t matter to the story. LOL!
We all know that Starbucks has gotten OUTRAGEOUSLY priced — which stops absolutely none of us from going there.
But, we don’t expect to pay $4,444.44 when all is said and done.
That is, however, exactly what happened to Jesse O’Dell and his wife Deedee.
They weren’t even aware that they had been overcharged, until a few days later when their card was declined at a different store.
I would have p.a.n.i.c.k.e.d, but Jesse and Deedee kept their cool. They contacted the Starbucks district manager to get the mistake sorted out.
For this to happen was just a real shock — I know for a fact I didn’t do that but sure enough, it was there in the charge. We do give good tips but nothing like that. And from there the real hell started.

Of course, Starbucks got right on the problem, sending them 2 separate checks to cover the overage.
Imagine the O’Dells’ surprise when — hold onto your hats — the checks bounced.
We contacted their customer service helpline probably 30 to 40 times that day and just blasted every new case that we could just until we could hear from somebody, and we did. We got a call from one of the representatives in Seattle. They assured us that they are sending new checks, but as of today, we still have not received checks.

That was on February 6th.
Since then, the couple had to cancel a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Thailand due to insufficient funds.
According to FOX23, Starbucks says they have no idea why the overcharge happened.
They are, however, working under the theory that human error was to blame.
But, human error or not, the O’Dell’s need their money.
A Starbucks representative assured the O’Dells that a new set of checks should be in the mail “any day now.”
Let’s hope those don’t bounce, AMIRITE?!?
