Um – this is strange news.

So, you know Dog The Bounty Hunter, right? Well, apparently, that isn’t an accurate title for him…

As it turns out, Dog The Bounty Hunter Is Not Licensed To Be A Bounty Hunter and Um, WHAT?!

Dog aka Duane Chapman has been talked about all over ever since he joined the search for Brian Laundrie.

He’s said he was getting close but that was almost a week ago and still no sign of Brian.

However, it turns out that if Dog did manage to find and detain Brian, it could be Dog himself that ends up getting into trouble with the law.

Crazy, right?

According to the Daily Mail, Dog has absolutely no legal status as a bounty hunter or private investigator.

This means that he basically has just as much power to arrest or hunt for Brian Laundry as you or I.

Yeah, that seems quite dangerous.

Experts have actually said that any attempt to arrest Brian Laundrie could potentially have Dog charged with ‘kidnapping or false imprisonment’.

So, why the hell is Dog hunting Brian in the first place? I mean, he is just playing a game of hide and seek at this point.

Apparently, people’s suspicions that Dog has been doing this for publicity all along are turning out to be correct.

Experts believe he is doing this to help land another TV show or something and that is just SO WRONG.

I truthfully thought that Dog was great at what he did and was respected in the bounty hunter community but if he isn’t legit, then what’s the point? It’s disappointing for sure.

So, I wouldn’t count on Dog finding Brian at this point because legally, he can’t.

  1. Actually he can this is false. His bondsman service had been in operation since the 80s.

In most states it’s 10 years from the time you’re convicted until you can be a bondsman/BH. He started his bond service 12 years after his conviction.

Many previously convicted felons have gone into bounty hunter positions, especially in Hawaii.

  2. 🤔 pretty sure anyone can make a citizens arrest.

  3. He is a convicted felon and can’t be a bondsmen in any state. It is against federal law. The whole show was a fake and so is he.

    1. @JB, actually he can this is false. In most states it’s 10 years from the time you’re convicted until you can be a bondsman/BH. He started his bond service 12 years after his conviction.

    2. @DannyG, False! Most states regulating licensing stipulate no felons and have no 10 year or whatever period. Pretty simple to look up licensing regulations for each state. Dog started in Hawaii who had & have no requirements for bounty hunters other than being 18 which is likely why he went there in the first place. But then the state decided to start pushing Senate bill 2776 under which no felon can be licensed. Of course Dog has been fighting that.

  4. We like Dog and what he does and the way he does it.

  5. It amazes me how there is always some neanderthalic moron waiting in the wings to tear down anything good. Dont you people have anything better to do ??

  6. It was Beth, his brother, be and Leland who are the bail bondsman. Maybe his daughter Lisa. But “Dog”is a convected felon. He can not hold a state license of that nature. That is also why no one on the show ever carried any guns.

  7. His parents are lying to police and Florida law prevents them from being accessories after the fact but the feds can charge them with accessory after the fact Florida state law says no you can’t charge them even if they helped from what i heard

  8. If anyone cares about the truth then watch his show. He never hand cuffs anyone because he let’s his kids do it because he knows he legally can’t arrest anyone. I personally have done some illegal stuff in my life about 30 years ago. Are you people saying that when I asked God to forgive me he didn’t do that? I don’t have to prove myself to any human being. I see a man praying before they go out to hunt down someone who has skipped bail. You may also hear him cussing because he is human not perfect like some of you.

    1. @Frank Murpo, Very well put!!! He is helping and then you have the news media for their own reason “A story” publicity taking advantage of that!!! People need to mind their own business!! I BET IF YOU ASK GABBY’S family, they are not condemning him!!!

    2. @Frank Murpo, Yes that’s exactly what I’m saying. People are real, God is not.

  9. He is egotistical but he can caught him as a regular person

  10. This Dog person is one Fugly Thing.

He probably drives a Sports Car at his ripe old age too!

  11. Thats whats wrong with the world today. Dog has been putting bad people away for years. Thanks to dog we can all sleep a little better taking peds n such off the streets but one little thing he does wrong and now everyone turns there back on em n wants to punish. This is how we show God we are thankful he died for OUR SINS

    1. @Jamie Page, Do your homework,did you know he’s a murderer???

    2. @Dallas, key word ” was ” people are able to change for the better. If we were all to listen to you then everyone who has ever screwed up would be worthless. Unlike a zebras that can’t change his strips people can better themselves and change.

  12. He’s a bail bondsman. He has people who work for him that are licensed “Bounty Hunters”. He’s clearly doing this for publicity, however. Even if he does find Laundrie he’ll just call the cops and give them Laundrie’s location

  13. Whaat is against the law is THAT hair & he seriously needs a haircut AND stay outa the sun!?!

  14. Convicted felons cant be bounty hunters officially.

    1. @Wesley Feltner, what does Dog the bounty hunter having to be a convicted felon have anything to do with it for a convicted felon he sure has changed his life around and became a famous bounty hunter and probable make more money then you in a life time he is out there looking for a man that could be very dangerous and apparently not mentally stable so stop judging people who are convicted felons people can change stop judging people

    2. @Sheila, what judgement? Convicted felons can’t be bounty hunters, that’s a fact

  15. if he isn’t licensed to be a bounty hunter then how is he not in prison already for everyone he has caught if he wasn’t really licensed wouldn’t he have been arrested, and charged by now i mean he had a tv show of him bounty hunting so i think this is just some crap someone is trying to spread around about him that isn’t true.

    1. @cody crimm, In some States You do Not have to be licensed to be a bounty hunter.

    2. @cody crimm, the people who work for him are licensed. He’s just a bail bondsman.

  16. Are you telling me that Trailer Trash Batman is breaking the law? Say it ain’t so!

  17. So how did he have a tv show where he’s shown detaining people? If he’s been unlicensed his entire career, supposedly he has some kind of felony from the 70s, then how was he ever able to detain any one of those people without being charged for kidnapping or false imprisonment?

    1. @Mike, He himself is not licensed. But the homies he rolling with are “bouty Hunters” he is a licensed bail bondsman.

    2. @Mike, ppeople don’t have anything better else to say he is he he is a professional Bounty Hunter and people just like to talk crap you can you can be whatever you want doesn’t matter if you have a felony charge you could from way back then if it’s from long time ago you get those off your records it’s not on your records and more if you pay for a moth people are not that smart

  18. Oh come on give him a break.he is trying to help found a killer.i hope he does get a other show.i love to watch him.he is good I don’t care what people say about him.go dog

    1. @Joyce carroll, Maybe he can get OJ to help find Gabby’s killer?!??

    2. @Joyce carroll, ONLY GOD HAS THE RIGHT TO JUDGE HES NOT A KILLER UNTIL HE IS CONVICTED

  19. He’s a little b****. Back in the mid 90’s he illegally detained my dad. The sheriff’s office made him release him and asked if we wanted to press charges for kidnapping. Shoulda, coulda, woulda.
I also went to high school with his son Leland. I watched him get beat up numerous times. Just a b**** like his daddy!

    1. @Coy, I’d like to hear more too. We’re all well aware that the scrawny pencil neck Poindexter who got bullied and beat up in school seeks out authoritative jobs as an adult. And though he’s far from a police officer I guess with his tactical pants tactical bear spray and tactical baton with reflex scope, well, in his mind he’s close enough. I live in Denver they used to have an apparel shop and bail bonds not far from my house. It was always closed I never saw anyone inside. They think they’re pretty well loved here in Denver but most people around here think that family is a joke

    2. @Coy,owell puxxy shut your mouth and keep ya comments to your self and your a bytch just like you daddy

  20. Legally, anybody who sees laundrie can detain and arrest him. It’s called citizens arrest.

    1. @Laura, you as a citizen can only do a “citizen arrest if you observe the crime being committed, Brian as of yet has not been charged with a crime, he is just being investigated. That being said if you were to capture and detain him it would be kidnapping and false imprisonment and you would go to jail. Just sayin your statement is incorrect.

    2. @Jesse, Brian has been charged with the crime of using Gabby’s debit card without authorization, felony theft, that is what the warrant they are using charges him with, so he is a wanted fugitive and therefore could legally be detained in a citizens arrest…

    3. @Laura, Agreed, bought time we took over where the FBI fails us!

  21. Way is dog involved he’s not law enforcement he should be worried about apologizing to his daughters for not letting Then attend his wedding instead of trying to be the police let the police and FBI do their dam job and he is not licensed to bounty hunt he deserves to go to jail. All to try and get a tv show not going to happen😂😂😂😂

    1. @Renee, the alphabet law do it’s job ?? Lol
Why can’t they find the POS as quickly as they figured out the Nashville bomber. DNA match super quick. BS

    2. @Renee, Yess, he not inviting his 2 daughters to attend his wedding is starting off his new marriage on the wrong foot, and not on solid ground..
