Demi Moore Posts Video of Family Celebrating Bruce Willis' Birthday Amid Dementia Diagnosis

It’s been a pretty hard year for Bruce Willis and his family.

He’s been struggling with aphasia (loss of the ability to speak and understand), and was recently diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

This devastating condition goes after the most basic part of who a person is. It affects behavior, speech, and language.

Basically, it completely changes a person. It is a cruel diagnosis that will rip the person you know and love right out from under you.

Bruce has stepped back from the spotlight since his diagnosis, choosing to spend quality time with his family — which I think we can all agree is the most important thing.

We have been able to keep up with how Bruce is doing through Instagram posts that his family shares with the public.

Demi Moore recently posted to IG a video of the family singing to Bruce for this 68th birthday.

Side Note: Doesn’t it make your heart happy to see their entire blended family getting along and loving each other? It just makes me smile.

Everyone was present for the celebration: Emma Heming Willis (his wife), his kids, and Demi Moore, and they all seem so happy to be celebrating Bruce.

In the video, Bruce seems to be in good spirits, smiling and even making air lasso motions before he blows out his candles.

We even catch snippets of Bruce talking, and it’s so good to see that he can still interact with and have fun with the family.

Fans have taken to the comments of the video to show their support and love for the family.

Seeing this today punched me right in the gut. I lost my dad on Christmas day 2021 to FTD. There is so much about this video that reminds me of the happy times I had with him when this terrible disease was showing up. He may have been different, but he was still there ❤️
