Things do not seem to be getting better for Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith.

With all the news still circulating surrounding the events that took place at The Oscars nearly two weeks ago, things are resurfacing as fans try to understand exactly why Will what he did.

And in case you don’t know, I’m referring to the Chris Rock slap…

One of those things resurfacing seems to be a video from 2018 from her Red Table Talk Facebook Series where Jada admits she didn’t want to marry Will and was sort of forced into it.

“I was under so much pressure, you know, being a young actress, being young, and I was just, like, pregnant and I just didn’t know what to do,”

“I never wanted to be married.”

Will then steps in and chuckles and says:

“We only got married because Gammy was crying,”

“Well, here’s what happened… It was almost as if Gammy was like, ‘You have to get married, so let’s talk about the wedding,’”

Her mom then replies:

“I remember feeling very strongly and wanting you guys to be married.”

Her mom then continues:

“I do remember [wanting you and Will to get married] but I don’t remember your rejection of the idea of marriage,”

“I remember the rejection of the idea of a wedding but not of a marriage.”

Red Table Talk

OUCH.

No matter the context then, it seems pretty harsh and considering all these two have been through in the media the last few years, it really makes you wonder if any of those harsh words were true…

Fans are recirculating this video trying to figure out why things happened the way they did with Will. I think people just never expected Will to do what he did.
