Disney World Has Suspended The College Program Until Further Notice
Y’all — I would be DEVASTATED. The Disney College Program is SUCH a big deal. You have to go through a pretty rigorous process to get accepted into the program. I have a few friends who have made it into the program, and they say it is pretty much the highlight of their college years.
BUT, thank you coronavirus, it has just stolen the chance at Disney World greatness for so many college students in the Disney College Program.
According to Fox 6 in Orlando, Disney World has suspended its famous College Program until further notice.
That means, all those college students that were furloughed, some of whom even stuck around in hopes that Disney World would open back up, have to go home.
Disney said in a blog post on Thursday that the internship’s participants won’t be among those returning to work when it reopens its Florida theme parks later this month.

The apartments that are reserved for these college students have even been closed, and Disney has said they will remain closed until further notice.
You have to PAY to be in the Disney College Program, and Disney has said that it is now going to refund all of the money to these students who won’t be returning.
And, get this — poor things — the college students have to re-apply at a later time. I would be insanely furious, in a dignified Disney sort of fashion, of course.
Disney World plans to start reopening its parks starting on July 11, but it will do so without the help of these college students.
