With social distancing in full effect, you may be feeling a little gloom being cooped up in your home for so long.

Many have started buying plants to bring a little life to their home space. I personally bought one of these monthly succulent subscription boxes for myself.

But now we’ve just caught word that Home Depot is selling pineapple plants!?! Talk about a tropical paradise in your own home! Not to mention they are ABSOLUTELY adorable!

This amazing plant features a small pineapple coming out of the top of it. How did I not know these existed?!?

Home Depot has started selling a potted pineapple plant from Pure Beauty Farms and I’m about to go buy one as soon as I’m done writing this. I have an addiction to buying plants…especially during a time like this.

The unique plant is part of the bromeliad family, part of a species of tropical plants. But what’s unique and awesome about this plant, is that it thrives indoors.

This plant has sword-like spiny green leaves that create dense rosettes. But to be clear, the tiny pineapple is not for eating. The ornamental pineapple, or dwarf pineapple, isn’t meant to be consumed. But it’s fun to look at!

This plant needs about 6 hours of sunlight a day. Many people keep this plant indoors during the winter and outdoors during the summer. But you can keep it inside with you all the time as long as you make sure it gets to sunbathe every day.

This only has to be watered once a week and is pretty low maintenance, making it the perfect new plant baby for you!

The pineapple plant is available at Home Depot for $29.98. It comes in a 5-inch designer pot, so it’s fully ready to go! It can also be delivered straight to your door, so you can keep social distancing AND get a cute plant!

With us all being cooped up, and warm weather creeping in, there isn’t a better time to get your hands on one of these adorable plants! Stay safe everyone.
