As if life right now isn’t hard enough, Some People Are Getting A Mysterious Brain Disorder That Makes It So They Can’t Walk, Talk, or Write The Letter ‘Q’.

Yeah, it sounds strange, right?

According to reports, over 150 people in Canada have come down with symptoms indicative of a brain disease.

Dozens of New Brunswick residents have been struck with mysterious symptoms that point to a degenerative brain disorder, and experts still don’t have an explanation for the debilitating illness.

Experts say they’ve ruled out environmental causes and human transmission, but they don’t have a diagnosis yet.

I have to admit, this is quite scary. Can you imagine just having pain that leads to being debilitated and also not knowing why or how to fix it?

Authorities say that many of those who got sick were young, previously healthy adults and it has doctors baffled.

So, how did symptoms start? Well, some say it began with an “electric shock” pain in their leg that crept up her arms and to her face in the days that followed.

One 33-year-old’s vision was like that of a 70-year-old, one optometrist told her. One day, she forgot how to write the letter “Q,” and she went to a doctor for a brain scan. It came back normal, and provincial officials referred her to a neuropsychologist.

People who have contracted this strange illness, are frustrated because at this point, doctors have no idea what is causing these symptoms and is basically leaving people to care for themselves or telling them to get more tests done.

In fact, of the cases reported so far, ages have ranged from 18 to 85, 9 people with the illness have died, although the province notes that six of those individuals died of other known causes.
