The Filet-O-Fish sandwich from McDonald’s — it’s pretty legendary.

You either love it or you don’t eat fish.

Especially this time of year — with it being Lent and all — the Filet-O-Fish sandwich is on everyone’s to-go order more than ever.

There is, however, one problem this year when it comes to unboxing your Filet-O-Fish sandwich and enjoying that flaky breaded filet.

If you’ve tried to order a Filet-O-Fish sandwich this year, you might already know about the problem.

Many people across social media are broadcasting to the world that the Filet-O-Fish sandwich is much smaller this year than in years past.

You might think to yourself, “This is a freaking slider, not a sandwich!!”

It’s just another example of shrinkflation showing up in our everyday lives, people.

TikTok users are not holding back with their dissatisfaction of this fishy sandwich.

And the price of this Filet-O-Fish sandwich? Of course, it’s going to differ depending on what region you are in, but it’s consistently over $5!!

So much for McDonald’s being a value place for families to go eat, right?!?

Now, what is McDonald’s saying about the obviously smaller Filet-O-Fish sandwich?

According to allrecipes, “the size and build of the Filet-O-Fish, including a half slice of American cheese, has not changed in decades.”

McDonald’s

Erm — I think we’ll be the judge of that.

Whether you think it is just the same size as usual, or you think it has shrunk in a big way, one thing is for sure — it’s too dang expensive!!
