Apple’s iOS 16 Software Update Will Allow You to Edit and Unsend Text Messages
How many times have you made a mistake in a text message or ya know, sent something you didn’t mean?
Well, thanks to Apple, those worries are all about to go away…
Apple’s iOS 16 Software Update Will Allow You to Edit and Unsend Text Messages.
Apple made the announcement during their Worldwide Developers Conference on Monday saying it was a highly asked for feature.
In a press release, Apple said:
“Users can edit or recall recently sent messages, recover recently deleted messages, and mark conversations as unread so they can come back to them later. In addition, SharePlay is coming to Messages, making it possible to enjoy synced content like movies or songs and shared playback controls all while chatting in Messages.”
The ability to edit or recall messages will be available during a 15 minute window from when the message was sent.
Other new features coming with the iOS 16 update include a personalized lock screen which will let you customize the look of the date and time.
It will be similar to the Apple Watch and home screen, allowing users to add widgets to the screen, allowing easier access to information such as calendar events, the weather, battery levels, alarms, activity ring progress and more.
