Shannen Doherty Revealed That Her Breast Cancer Is Back And It’s Stage Four
Shannen Doherty is famous for a lot of things, but cancer was one thing she had hoped she had kicked.
The Beverly Hills 90210 actress first revealed that she had breast cancer back in 2015, but by 2017, it had gone into remission.
It was a battle she had fought publicly, even Instagramming a video of a friend shaving her head after her hair started falling out due to chemo treatments.
We had hoped that she had beat the cancer for good, but she went on Good Morning America Tuesday morning, to let the world know that her cancer had returned.
The actress has known for some time about her Stage 4 diagnosis. She knew last year, when she was working on the reboot of 90210.
In her ABC interview, she talked about continuing to film 90210 while having a Stage 4 diagnosis. “One of the reasons, along with Luke, that I did 90210 and didn’t really tell anybody [was] because I thought, people can look at that [as] people with Stage 4 can work too.”
So, where does she go from here? “Our life doesn’t end the minute we get that diagnosis. We still have some living to do,” Shannen said.
