Netflix and Nickelodeon Announced Partnership After The Launch Of Disney+
Netflix is having to try and stay relevent in an era where new streaming services are now popping up. Disney+ is already here — YAY — and HBO Max is coming after the first of the year.
Nickelodeon is now teaming up with Netfix to bring NEW animated features and original programming. Netflix will also carry some already established Nickelodeon favorites.
“Nickelodeon has generated scores of characters that kids love, and we look forward to telling wholly original stories that re-imagine and expand on the worlds they inhabit. We’re thrilled to continue collaborating with Brian Robbins, Ramsey Naito, and the creative team at Nickelodeon in new ways as we look to find fresh voices and bring bold stories to our global audience on Netflix.”
Melissa Cobb, Netflix Vice President of Original Animation
This multi-million dollar deal is going to be GREAT for subscribers! We will get some stellar streaming programming that will be great for adults and children alike.
I can hear my daughter now, ‘DOES THIS MEAN JOJO IS COMING TO NETFLIX?’ I don’t know, we will have to wait and see.
I can’t wait to see the new programming the two companies are going to bring us!
Netflix already brings us AWESOME programming! We all LOVE the Netflix Original show Stranger Things.
And, Dead To Me — Best Show Ever — is also a Netflix Original. If you haven’t seen it, watch it now — without kids in the room.
Look for this Nickelodeon collab programming on Netflix in the near future.
