Does anyone out there watch Outer Banks on Netflix? You aren’t alone. OMG — it’s so stinkin’ good!!
This YA coming-of-age drama hit the airwaves back in April, and has since been a HIT for Netflix.
Good News from the world of Netflix. Season 2 of the Outer Banks definitely has the green light, and writers have already started working on the storyline.
Outer Banks stars Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Drew Starkey, Deion Smith, and Charles Esten will all reprise their roles for season 2. Josh Pate and Shannon Burke also serve as showrunners and executive producers along with (Jonas) Pate.Entertainment Weekly
Thank God they are continuing the show, because season 1 left us with a pretty big cliffhanger, AMIRITE?!?
If you HAVEN’T seen Outer Banks, it is about a group of teens — The Pogues — who live at the Outer Banks. They aren’t very popular, and they definitely aren’t part of the rich elite of the Outer Banks, but they have a secret.
John B is the leader of the Pogues, and his father just disappeared. Before he went missing, John B’s dad was obsessed with a treasure that is said to be buried in the Outer Banks.
This treasure is worth $400 million, and John B’s dad just happened to leave behind some pretty pertinent clues that he was able to amass before he disappeared.
Of course, the Pogues have to go on a hunt for the treasure, but they aren’t the only ones. The Kooks — the rich group of teens in the town — are also after the same treasure.
I am not going to ruin the cliffhanger ending of season 1 — but it sets up nicely to head right into season 2.
Outer Banks, season 1, is only 10 episodes long. You could binge watch that in one day, if you tried hard enough. *Laughing Face Emoji*
Do yourself a favor. Get on over to Netflix, and watch season 1 of Outer Banks. You won’t regret it, and then you’ll be jonesing for season 2 like the rest of us. Ha!
Want even MORE good news? Sweet Magnolias has also been renewed for a second season. Squee!!
