While there are several different opinions regarding the show, one thing is for sure, fans of the original Hocus Pocus movie have noticed a major flaw…

In the original Hocus Pocus Mary Sanderson’s crooked jaw is off to one side.

However, in Hocus Pocus 2, Mary’s crooked jaw is on the other side.

Honestly, I thought something looked strange to me when I was watching Hocus Pocus 2 and that was it! Mary’s jaw seemed off!

And honestly, fans of the movie noticed it too.

So, was it a flaw? Did Disney mess up this tiny detail?

Turns out, Kathy Najimy has a reasonable explanation for all of this…

In an interview with EW, Kathy says that character quirk had to be slightly adapted for her in Hocus Pocus 2.

“It’s on the other side mainly because it’s so hard for me to do it on the side I did it on 30 years ago. I’m sure the fans are going to go into deep detail about why it’s on the other side,”

“It’s just something I came up with the first week. This is a big comedy, so you don’t have to be subtle or have a 40-page Shakespearean backstory.”

She then continued:

“We can justify it because there’s a scene at the beginning where Winnie slaps me, and my mouth goes to the other side, and then she slaps me again and it goes to the other side, and sticks.”

So, that totally makes sense but it was a small change that fans definitely noticed.
