Lowe’s Is Opening Up Petco Stores Inside Some Locations and I’m So Excited
So, I totally think this is a wonderful idea!
Lowe’s is already a pet-friendly store, so this totally seems like a logical next step.
Petco and Lowe’s are creating a pilot store-in-store program where you can purchase pet products from an in-store pet shop inside!
The new pet stores will not only sell pet products but they will also offer services such as vaccinations as well as grooming!
Just think, you could grab all of your home improvement needs and also all of your pet needs in one location, plus take your pet along with you!
The first one will be opening at the Lowe’s location located in Alamo Ranch, Texas, and is set to open in February.
After this first shop opens, 14 more are scheduled to open by March as well!
The shops are going to be located in Texas, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
If all goes well… there may be more!
Marisa Thalberg, Lowe’s executive vice president, chief brand, and marketing officer, said that 60% of the people they talked to:
indicated they’d be more likely to shop at a home improvement retailer if they could also purchase all their pet needs in the same place.

The Lowe’s stores with the pilot pet shops will have hundreds of Petco products for sale in stores.
They will also have the Petco products on the Lowe’s website if you want to pick up curbside.
Lowe’s Is A Pet Friendly Store
Lowe’s has always been pet-friendly and I think it’s great!
Many people try to take their dogs into stores that are not pet-friendly.
This is a huge issue for service dog handlers like myself, it’s dangerous.
We shouldn’t have to expect to run into untrained dogs inside grocery stores where pets are not allowed… Walmart and Target are NOT pet-friendly.
If you want to shop with your pet, there are plenty of stores that are pet-friendly.
All that you need to do is look at their pet policy online or call and check ahead of time.
