Dear Extroverts, We Are So Sorry

As an introvert, this self-isolation thing is a walk in the park compared to what I bet you’re doing through.

I’m sorry you aren’t able to leave to hang with friends.

I’m sorry that parties, concerts and barbecues are cancelled.

I’m sorry that you can’t just pack up and take a quick road trip to just get away.

I know you are bored.

I know you feel alone.

I know you just long to have people surround you again with good laughter and fun.

I know life just threw you a major curveball and it doesn’t seem fair.

I can’t imagine how hard this is on you right now.

How hard it is on your soul, your personality and your well-being as a person. As an extrovert.

Just remember, it is temporary and hopefully you can be back to the shenanigans with good friends and laughter, in no time.

Oh, and don’t worry about us introverts, we have been preparing for this our entire lives.

We thrive on being stuck at home with our loved ones, cuddled on the couch and enjoy the silence in the air.

Keep your chin up and know, we haven’t forgotten about you! We love you!
