Brene Brown’s New Netflix Special Is What You Need To Find Your Inner Awesome
We’ve been through all sorts of feelings and emotions this year with Netflix.
From feeling scared out of our minds to decluttering our lives, Netflix has seen a lot of blood, sweat, and tears from us.
And now, people are saying that Netflix’s new show is good for your soul – and we are hoping right on board to the train of empowerment.
Netflix will release a special called Brené Brown: The Call to Courage on April 19, 2019 and it’s all about empowerment.
For those of you that don’t know, Brené Brown is a research professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. And she is THE BEST THING EVER TO HAPPEN TO WOMEN.
She has spent more than a decade studying vulnerability, courage, authenticity and shame. She spent the first five years of her decade-long study focusing on shame and empathy, and is now using that work to explore a concept that she calls Wholeheartedness.
She is a best-selling author and is well-known for her viral 2010 TED talk The Power of Vulnerability (it racked up 38 million views and is one of the top five most watched Ted Talks ever).
And now, Netflix wants to bring her to you to help you empower yourself, better your soul and help you live your best life.
Something many of us need after such a rough 2018.
The hour-long empowering discussion was filmed in front of a live audience in Royce Hall at the University of California (UCLA).
She will be dishing out her awesome advice on embracing your sensitivity and shame just like she did in her Ted talk.
Be ready to watch this powerful film on April 19th. You’ll also probably want to bring the tissues.
She’s just that good.
