Tesla Recalls Over One Million Cars Due to Windows That May ‘Pinch’
Tesla may be able to drive itself but apparently, its windows may pinch.
For a car that allows you to drive with no hands on the wheel considering the car does that for you, the luxury vehicle still needs to work on its windows.
After spotting a flaw, Tesla has recalled 1.1 million cars with windows that could pinch owners while closing them.
While Tesla’s windows are supposed to automatically come to a stop when it detects that something is in the way, recent testing caught a possible problem with some of its windows.
Although the good news is that if you’re currently an owner of a Tesla with faulty windows, you most likely won’t have to bring your car in for service.
The popular car model stated that an over-the-air software update should fix the issue.
Tesla also mentioned while filing with federal safety regulators that it is unaware of any reports from owners and what needs to be fixed was only discovered during testing.
Here are the models involved:
- 2017-2022 Model 3
- 2020-2021 Model Y
- 2021-2022 Models S and X.
