In case you haven’t heard, last night Congress finally passed a new stimulus package which is being signed into a bill today.

With that being said, you might be wondering just how soon we can expect a stimulus check especially with it being Christmas this week.

Well, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Monday that the government would begin to send out $600 checks to millions of Americans next week.

“People are going to see this money the beginning of next week,” Mnuchin said, in an interview on CNBC.

So, who gets a check and how much?

Well, it seems that if you were eligible and received a stimulus check last time, you will be receiving one again.

You will get $600 for you, $600 for your spouse and $600 per child dependent (that qualified like last time).

No word has been officially given on how the checks will be distributed but I’d assume that if you received your last stimulus check by direct deposit in your bank account, you’ll receive it the same place. Otherwise, it will come in a check by mail.

While this money doesn’t seem to make a huge dent in finances for the American people, it’s at least something and better than nothing at this point.

So, keep an eye out on your bank account and watch your mail like a hawk.
