Truthfully, I feel like my entire life has been a lie.

Okay, first off, who in the hell reads the instructions on every single item in their home? NOBODY.

Secondly, did you know that you’re supposed to change the direction your fan spins depending on the seaosn?

Um, WHAT?!

Yup! Also, I didn’t even know that the fan changed directions in the first place. So, there’s that…

Well anyways, apparently your ceiling fan direction in the summer should be counterclockwise to help create a downdraft and a cool breeze.

In the winter, your fan direction should be clockwise to create an updraft and circulate warm air around the room.

If your mind is blown right now, don’t worry, mine is too.

So, how the heck do you change the direction of your fan?

Apparently, there is a handy dandy switch on all fans that you’ve probably never noticed (I know I haven’t).

All you do is wait for your fan to be completely off and then switch that little switch in the opposite direction.

Then each season, change it as needed.

My mind is seriously blown. I am in my 30’s and just now found this out. WOW!
