Hobby Lobby Just Raised Their Minimum Wage For Full-Time Employees To $17 An Hour
One of my daughters is at the age where it is time to start thinking about a job. Naturally, I have been trying to get her to start her own business with her art. She is an amazing artist but lacks the confidence to put it out there.
So when I saw that Hobby Lobby has raised their minimum full-time wage to $17 an hour I had to tell her! A Hobby Lobby discount for an artist and $17 an hour totally sparked her interest!
We have always worked hard to be a retail leader when it comes to taking care of our people. From closing our stores on Sundays and at 8 p.m. the rest of the week, to providing some of the best pay and benefits in the retail industry, we are thankful that we are able to share our success with our valued employees and provide time for rest, family and worship. These investments allow Hobby Lobby to attract and retain a great group of associates who in turn help provide the wonderfully unique shopping experience enjoyed by our many loyal customers.
Hobby Lobby founder and CEO, David Green
The raising of the minimum wage of $17 per hour will go into effect on October 1st, 2020. Hobby Lobby has raised their minimum wage pay 10 times over the past 11 years.
I think Hobby Lobby would be a fantastic company to work for. Every Sunday off and closed by 8 PM! With the pay increase and all of the benefits they provide, it would be the perfect place for my teenager to work.
Man, I want that discount!
