If you have been hiding under a rock, you probably haven’t heard about what happened last night!!!

Jojo Siwa joined the 30th season of Dancing With The Stars and had her first performance last night!

Siwa has officially made history as being the first contestant with a same-sex partner! And I couldn’t be more happy for her, to break this ground for future LGBTQIA members to be able to express themselves properly on shows like this!

Jojo Siwa was partnered with Jenna Johnson and together received a score of 29…the highest of the night! They danced to the song “Are You Gonna Be My Girl,” fitting for this iconic moment!

“This is a whole new ball game for me. I’ve never done anything ballroom before. It’s a learning experience that I’m more than ready for. I explain it as a football player trying to play basketball. I also think, too, I’m going to be judged a lot harder.”

“For the first time in Dancing with the Stars history, I am dancing with another female, and I’m really, really proud. I came out in early 2021 and what I love to do is make truly being who you are easier for kids. They asked, would I be more comfortable with a female or with a male and immediately I knew for myself I would be way more comfortable with a girl. I have a chance right now to make history and to break down a barrier and there’s nothing that I would rather do than that.”

I think it’s amazing that she has taken this initiative and bring true to herself. And I can’t wait to see future performances!!!
