Netflix Has A New Serial Killer Docuseries That’ll Have You Sleeping With One Eye Open
I do love a good crime series. I think my husband and I became a bit obsessed with true crime documentaries during the 2020 quarantine.
If you feel the same way, you need to stop what you’re doing and turn on Netflix because they have a new serial killer docuseries that’ll have you sleeping with one eye open.
Remember last year when Netflix released Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel. It was a creepy series.
Well, this time around, the three episode second season is titled Crime Scene: The Times Square Killer and it explores the “Torso Killer”. Yeah, it already sounds terrifying.
The official synopsis is:
In 1970s NYC, the “Torso Killer” preys on women to fulfill his grotesque fantasies while eluding police. A docuseries dive into crime’s darkest places.
People everywhere are talking about how they are glued to this series and of course, it just leaves you feeling violated and scared to go just about anywhere.
This is a short true crime series that is worth watching and you can totally binge it in an afternoon or evening.
Episode titles and descriptions are as follows:
- Murder on 42nd St.: Bright lights, fear city: In Times Square, 1979, police stumble on a fiery “hotel room from hell” housing the bodies of two women.
- The perfect hunting ground: After another grisly murder, officers talk to sex workers and examine their clients’ records. Meanwhile, eerily similar killings occur in New Jersey.
- End of an era: Days after a woman’s harrowing escape, NJ police build a case. NYC officers connect the dots as trophies come to light. A daughter looks for closure.
