There was a blackout in New York City for hours today. Broadway shows were canceled, all of Time Square was down.
What did the good people of NYC do?
Riot?
Freak Out?
Heck no.
They directed traffic and sang in the streets.
Nobody wanted to see traffic jams. So they stepped up and set an example.
Since all the broadway shows and concerts were canceled, all the artists had the night off.
So they sang and played for everyone.
The cool thing is, on this exact same date in 1977, NYC had a blackout.
And what did the goof people of NYC do when the lights came back on?
They cheered, of course.
