Pumpkins rot and mold faster due to moisture so if you eliminate that, you are going to have a pumpkin that lasts longer!

All you need to do is grab a few of the silica gel packets and place them into the bottom of your pumpkin like so (be sure to keep them away from any open flames or use LED lights instead of votive candles to light your pumpkin).
