Recycling
We’ve been unpacking our stuff into the new house, and have accumulated a lot of boxes. They only give you like 10 cents per box if you take them back to the box store, and that just isn’t even worth my time. So they’ve been sitting in the room I have no furniture for my formal dining room. Today is recycling day.
Husband: What should we do with these boxes?
Me: Oh! I read that you can just recycle them.
Husband: No, you can’t. I went to the city’s recycling website and it says they won’t recycle your used moving boxes.
Me: No, you can. I read it on some literature I received from the city about their recycling program.
Husband: Where? Let me see this literature.
Me: Sure, It’s right here…
Husband: Um, that’s a watercolor drawing with a dinosaur on it.
Me: He’s Recyclasaurus Rex, and he says we can recycle cardboard boxes. Look– there’s even a picture of an actual moving box, and he’s telling me to put it in the cart:
Husband: I’ll go put this stuff out by the road….
that’s hilarious, Jamie! I love it!
That’s too funny!! Thanks for the laugh.
