Here is Everything You Need To Know About Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day is traditionally in July but this year it got moved due to the pandemic. Now Prime Day is October 13 and October 14.

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Prime Day is Amazon’s annual sale event exclusively for Prime members. It features two days of special savings on thousands of items across all product categories. You can save hundreds on items you planned to purchase anyways. It’s basically a birthday for Amazon where they give YOU major discounts.

When is Prime Day?

Amazon confirmed on September 27, that Prime Day will be held on October 13 and 14. The deals will go live starting at midnight PDT.

How to Shop Prime Day

Prior to shopping, you’ll want to sign-up for an Amazon Prime Account. You can get a free 30-day trial here.

You do need an Amazon Prime Account in order to shop the deals. Don’t worry, you can cancel the trial after the sale. Joining Prime also gives you free-day shipping on items.

How to find the best Prime Day deals

You’ll want to bookmark Amazon’s deal page, where all the items included in the sale should appear.

Be sure to check early and often on the big day; Prime Day deals are known to sell out quickly, and new deals will likely be added throughout the sale event.

You’ll also find Amazon Lightning Deals on the same page (you can filter your view so that you only see Lightning Deals using the panel on the left side of the page).

A Few Important Things To Keep In Mind

  • Amazon Prime Deals pop up all day long. Basically every hour, so check back often.
  • Pricing expires after a certain time. Most of the time it’s an hour but a deal can expire at any time.
  • Items sell out quickly. Once a sale on an item goes live, you will need to add it to your cart. From there, you’ll want to check out quickly to ensure you get that item.
  • Once an item is no longer on sale, you will lose that special pricing even if the item is in your cart.
  • Add your preferred card and shipping address to your account early so you can check out quickly.
