The 'Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret' By Judy Blume Movie Is Officially In The Works! Here Is What We Know

It wasn’t that long ago that I wrote about my excitement over ‘Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret’ by Judy Blume being made into a movie.

Now things are really rolling and it is officially in the works! SO EXCITING!!!

This was one of my favorite books as a child. I read over and over again. ‘Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret‘ was a book that ALL girls could relate to and it helped us understand puberty.

According to EW, Abby Ryder Fortson will be taking on the role of Margaret Simon, the main character of the book. You may know Abby as the daughter of Ant-Man.

Rachel McAdams, yes you know her as Regina George from ‘Mean Girls’, will play Barbara, Margaret’s mother. I can not wait to see her in this role!

My readers are always fantasy-casting my books, but I’ve never done that. But you know it when you see it, and Abby is a natural. And I’m so excited that Margaret got a funny, sexy, sassy mom in Rachel.
