Rick Riordan Announces The Cast for The Percy Jackson Series Coming to Disney+
Percy Jackson is Back!!
As you may know, The Percy Jackson & the Olympians book series by Rick Riordan (along with their many spin-offs) has already been adapted for the big screen in the form of 2010’s The Lightning Thief and its 2013 sequel, Sea of Monsters.
Back in 2020, Riordan announced that the Percy Jackson books will soon be turned into a live-action TV series for Disney+!

“We can’t say much more at this stage but we are very excited about the idea of a live-action series of the highest quality, following the story line of the original Percy Jackson five-book series, starting with The Lightning Thief in season one. Rest assured that Becky & I will be involved in-person at every step of the show. There will be much more news in the future, but for now, we have a lot of work to do! Buckle up, demigods. It’s going to a fantastic, exciting ride!”

Since that time, we haven’t heard much but today, we finally get a look at the cast of the new series!!
Rick Riordan posted on his website saying “The Trio is Complete” giving info on the additional cast members.
The Cast for The Percy Jackson Series on Disney+
Aryan Simhadri will play Grover Underwood in the series. You may recognize him from Disney+’s film Cheaper by the Dozen and in the Disney Channel’s Spin.
Leah Sava Jeffries will play Annabeth Chase in the series. She was a series regular on the TV show Empire and also in the series Rel.
