You know the foods good when your family is sitting down and absolutely no one is talking, simply because everyone is worrying about who is going to get the last piece of pie, or rib for this matter.

Ribs are amazing to eat when you’re craving a savory meal and ready to get down and dirty because you have to expect to use at least 20 napkins or so to wipe off your mouth and fingers from that glorious BBQ sauce.

Even though the best part about eating ribs is the sauce, who else skips out on cooking the popular meat because you simply don’t feel like cleaning up the mess?

A cooking recipe on TikTok has recently gone viral regarding the latest food trend to take the internet by storm.

Introducing corn ribs, ribs that ditch the mess but keep the flavor, plus it’s vegan too!

You can start by purchasing a handful of corn ears because you’ll need at least 3 depending on how many “ribs” will feed the family.

Next, stand each ear of corn upright and using a knife, CAREFULLY split into two halves, then, cut the two halves again in half.

In a bowl, mix (thanks to @spicednice) :

  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • a pinch of salt (optional)

Brush the mixture onto the corn ribs and you can either bake or fry by tossing your corn ribs into the air fryer at 400° for 10 minutes.

Keep in mind to flip all of them once, halfway through.

In a separate bowl, mix (once again, courtesy of @spicednice) :

  • 1/2 cup of mayo
  • 2 teaspoons of chopped chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • juice 1/2-2 limes for taste and a pinch of salt if needed

This will be your dipping sauce or you can choose to drizzle instead of dip.

After you’ve had a few corn ribs for yourself, you can then decide whether or not to share your meal with the family because these corn ribs look so darn good!
