Court Documents Have Revealed That Britney Spears Is Being Forced To Work In Order To Pay Her Dad
Free Britney! Every time I see a headline about Britney, I’m hoping it’s good news…but it usually isn’t.
Her conservatorship has been a hot topic for quite some time, and for good reason, considering her dad essentially controls her life.
Despite going to court many times, Britney has still not been granted her freedom. New York Times even released court documents showing that Britney has been pushing for years to end the conservatorship, despite public claims by her family and team that she’s free to end it any time she wants.
These documents even showed the severity of her conditions. They can control everything from who she dates to the color she chooses to paint her kitchen cabinets…how is this allowed?
A court investigator in the documents stated, “She is ‘sick of being taken advantage of’ and she said she is the one working and earning her money but everyone around her is on her payroll.” Even though she is earning millions from her Las Vegas residency, Britney has only been allotted $2,000 a week allowance, while her father has been collecting a $16,000 monthly salary and commissions on all of Britney’s earnings and deals.
Despite Britney making comments about being afraid of her father and being forced to perform against her will are, nothing has been done yet. She has another court date set in Los Angeles, so we can only hope that justice is finally served and Britney can finally have her life back.
