Disney+ Is Launching A New GroupWatch Feature That You Are Going To Love

Disney+, what kind of fun fiendish witchcraft is this? I LOVE this new feature!!

Have y’all checked out the new GroupWatch feature on Disney+? Trust. You should gather two — or five — of your closest BFFs, and plan a GroupWatch party from the comforts of your own homes!!

What is a GroupWatch party you ask? Well, let me just tell you.

This fun new feature on Disney+ allows you and up to six of your friends to experience the magic of Disney movies together in a synced playback experience using your web browser, mobile device, smart TVs — or whatever you NORMALLY watch Disney+ on.

You can even “comment” in real time, using a set of preprogrammed emojis. You can choose from “like,” “funny,” “sad,” “angry,” “scared,” and “surprised.”

This unique platform for watching Disney+ together allows each individual the capability to pause the action to get up and go to the bathroom, get a snack, answer that pesky phone, or do whatever you need to get done.

It’s a fun way to social distance, yet still connect through the magic of Disney!

Storytelling comes alive when you’re able to share and enjoy it with others, and in this moment when many are still apart from their friends and family, GroupWatch offers a way to safely connect virtually by co-viewing your favorite Disney+ stories with your favorite people from the comfort of your living room.

The catch, of course, is that all parties must have Disney+. But, really, you should have it anyway. It’s only the BEST streaming service, IMHO. I mean, look at everything coming to the streaming network!! Gah!

Also, it is only available in the US right now, but it is expected to land in Europe later this fall.*

*A test version is available in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
