I know what I’ll be doing tomorrow! Writing letters and sending artwork from my kids to lonely nursing home residents.

Did you know that they can’t have any friends or family visit right now? That breaks my heart.

A few minutes and a stamp can brighten someone’s day! Confession, I still have PenPals! PenPaling is still a thing! Getting mail always cheers me up!

So let’s take it old school for a minute with some snail-mail to cheer up the residents! One nursing home in Webster, Texas made a plea on Facebook.

Are you at home looking for something to do? We are looking for PenPals! Our residents would love to receive pictures, letters, or drawings from you and your kids. Help us feel the love while we stay indoors and out of harm’s way.

They posted that they have an isolated area that they will use for the deliveries so they can disinfect the mail. Then they will hold it for 72 hours to make sure it is safe before giving it to the residents.

Other nursing homes everywhere are asking the same as well! It doesn’t take long to drop a sweet note to let them know that no one has forgotten them!
