Disney World Is Closing Early On New Year’s Eve This Year. Here’s What We Know.
You may want to consider other plans for New Year’s Eve if you were hoping on ringing in the new year at Walt Disney World because it looks like Mickey is closing his home early this year.
Disney World has recently released park hours through January 2nd of 2021 and unfortunately, the parks will be closing at the latest at 8 p.m.
More specifically, Magic Kingdom will be closing at 7 p.m. while Epcot will be closing just an hour later.
Guests who have visited Disney in previous years are familiar with both theme parks lighting up the sky with fireworks, but since the parks are closing down early, anything is up in the air this year.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be closing their doors at the earliest of 5 p.m. and Hollywood Studios similar to Disney’s Magic Kingdom, will also be closed at 7 p.m.
The new park hours will be effective next month on November 6th, 2020 and Disney has yet to announce any special events or plans that will take place on New Years Eve.
Although I am hopeful that Disney will show type of fireworks in the night sky since both Magic Kingdom and Epcot are closing just past sunset, fingers crossed!
