This Person Let Their Dog Climb Through a Starbucks Drive-Thru Window and That’s Not Ok
Being a dog lover doesn’t mean letting them misbehave, and allowing your dog to climb through a drive-thru window is most definitely misbehaving!
I am a huge dog lover and yes, the dog is excited and cute, but that doesn’t make it ok.
The dog went all of the way into the Starbucks through the drive-thru window.
The viral TikTok was captured by a person that was in line behind the car with the dog.
In the comments, some people seem to think it’s “adorable”, while others were not very happy and talked about how “unsanitary” it is.
I’m with the not-happy camp on this one, and I am sure some of you will call me a “Karen”, but whatever… uncontrolled behavior like this is what turns people off dogs.
Uncontrolled behavior is also when a bite could happen, dogs don’t bite… until they do.
My service dog is allowed to go inside Starbucks, but would I allow her to climb through a window or to get on a counter where people are served food and drinks?
No.
In fact, here is my service dog being a good girl inside of a Starbucks.
I don’t allow my dogs to get on my own counters and I certainly wouldn’t allow them to do such a thing in public.
Besides that, your dog should never be able to exit your vehicle like that
It’s extremely dangerous… buckle that baby in!
Just because we love dogs does not mean everyone around us loves dogs, your pet needs to be leashed and under control at all times while around the public.
So while you may watch this and initially think it’s a sweet adorable moment, look at it again through the eyes of other people.
Some people are legitimately fearful of dogs, and an unleashed dog jumping through a drive-thru could easily become a dangerous situation.
Also, the TikTok user that posted the video falsely stated that Starbucks is pet friendly… they are not.
You may have your leashed pet on the patio area at Starbucks, but the only dogs allowed inside its stores are service dogs.
