‘Glee’ Actress Naya Rivera Is Missing After Her Son Was Found Alone In A Boat At A Lake In California
Naya Marie Rivera, who played Santana in Glee, is missing, and presumed to have drowned.
She rented a pontoon boat with her four year old son Wednesday afternoon, but the boy was found about three hours later, asleep by himself in the boat.
This all happened on Lake Piru, which is in the Los Padres National Forest in Ventura County. That is about 50 miles from Los Angeles.
Sadly, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, which was treating this as a missing person, is now treating the search as a recovery effort.
The lake was closed down, and there have been dive teams working on the search for Naya.
According to CBS 2 in Los Angeles, the four-year-old boy said that his mother and him had gone for a swim in the lake, but she never came back to the boat.
There’s no signs of foul play, no signs of anything that went wrong besides a tragic accident.

Switching that mode to a search-and-recovery mode, like I said, does not change the efforts and does not change the gusto, what we push forward with the search operation. The goal is still to bring Ms. Rivera home to her family, so they can have some closure.
